Ahmed Tahboub is the CEO of Allied for Law and Arbitration.
He holds a BA in Law with a focus on Criminal Law from Damascus University and holds an MA in International Trade Law from J. Rueben Clark Law School, Brigham Young University in Utah, USA.
Tahboub is an arbitrator and specialist in construction disputes, and an experienced professional in cases, projects, and commercial disputes.
He is an experienced lawyer in project finance and banking and commercial law, has worked in the public and private sectors, and his professional experience includes advising and representing major banks in the Middle East.
Through his work, he represented major financial institutions in financing mega projects, syndicated loans, and corporate banking products.
Tahboub provided legal representation for clients in, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, the Palestinian National Authority, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates, He is the legal advisor to the Arab Countries Water Utilities Association (ACWUA), and has provided legal support in Western Europe, Australia, USA, and Canada.
He has been involved in the design and fruitful execution of legal takeovers in companies in both sectors and managed multinational entities in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority. This included an analysis of the region's special law and instructions regarding investment and taxes.
Tahboub also managed tax-exempt company registrations in Aqaba, Oman, the British Virgin Islands (BVI), Dubai, and Bahrain according to clients’ needs and financial plans.
Tahboub is the editor-in-chief of the electronic legal magazine (National Law Bulletin), editor of the legal column in the STAR newspaper, and managing the publication of the "Sawt al-Haq" magazine, the specialized legal publication.
Tahboub contributed to drafting an independent law for the Greater Amman Municipality, amending the Cities and Villages Regulation Law, and creating and amending more than 14 specialized municipal systems.
He has contributed to amending the supplies and works system, including providing legal advice to municipality bids, works contracts, and projects for more than three billion US dollars on the FIDIC and Bespoke system.
Lawyer Ahmed Tahboub developed and managed the program Support Program Inter, which included various sectors including; Communications and electronic programming, pharmaceutical studies, pharmacy training, media, contracting and building electromechanical contracting, and higher education sector in the United Arab Emirates, Germany, and other countries.
He has drawn up an internal bylaw for the first specialized arbitration center for water, electricity, and infrastructure.
Tahboub held meetings and studies with Arab and international arbitration centers, most notably; the State Arbitration Center, Gulf Cooperation Council in Bahrain, Dubai International Arbitration Center, Abu Dhabi Center for Commercial Arbitration and Conciliation, Cairo Regional Center for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA), Saudi Legal Center for Arbitration, International Chamber of Commerce, affiliated to the International Arbitration Commission / France (ICC) and the London International Arbitration (LCIA).
He also managed the implementation of real estate guarantees and reservations through the judicial and Amiri collections of local companies.
